Frequently asked questions

Are your products authentic?

Yes. 100%. Every product we carry is sourced direct from Korea or from authorized U.S. distributors. We don't drop-ship from third-party marketplaces, and we don't sell grey-market or expired stock. If you ever receive something that looks off, email us at djohnniejamesv@gmail.com and we'll investigate immediately.

How fast is shipping?

Orders placed before 2pm CT Monday–Friday typically ship the same business day. Standard U.S. shipping takes 3–6 business days; expedited is 2–3 business days. Free shipping kicks in at $50.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet — we currently ship within the U.S. only. Sign up for our newsletter and we'll let you know as soon as we expand.

What if a product breaks me out or doesn't work for my skin?

Email us within 30 days of delivery. We have a no-interrogation 30-day return policy — if a product doesn't work, we'll send a return label and refund. Even if you've already used it, just email us — we'll work it out.

Are products fresh? What's the expiration date?

Every K-beauty product we ship has at least 12 months of shelf life remaining at the time of dispatch. Most have 18–24 months. We rotate stock from our temperature-controlled U.S. warehouse, so products aren't sitting in shipping containers in the heat.

Do you offer free samples with orders?

Not consistently yet — we're working on building out a sample program. For now, follow our newsletter for occasional GWP (gift-with-purchase) drops.

Can I cancel or change an order after placing it?

If your order hasn't shipped, yes — email us at djohnniejamesv@gmail.com ASAP with your order number. Once an order is with the carrier, we can't redirect or cancel it.

I'm new to K-beauty. Where do I start?

Honestly? Start with one of our curated routine sets — they include everything you need for a 3–5 step routine in matched formulas. If you have specific concerns, browse Hydration, Brightening, Anti-aging, or Soothing & Acne-prone. Or email us your skin type and we'll send back a custom starter routine.

How do I know what skin type I am?

The quick test: wash your face with a gentle cleanser, wait an hour without applying anything, then check. Tight or flaky? Dry. Shiny all over? Oily. Shiny T-zone, normal cheeks? Combination. Red or stinging from the cleanser alone? Sensitive. Most K-beauty products work across types — the routine just changes order and frequency.

Do I really need a 10-step routine?

No. The 10-step thing is a marketing myth. A solid daily K-beauty routine is 3–5 steps: cleanser → toner → (serum or essence) → moisturizer → SPF in the morning. Anything beyond that is optional.

Are your products cruelty-free? Vegan?

It varies by brand. Cruelty-free is increasingly the K-beauty standard — most of the brands we carry (Anua, Beauty of Joseon, COSRX, Heimish) are certified cruelty-free. Vegan status is brand-specific; check the individual product page for details, or email us and we'll confirm before you order.

Where are you based?

We ship from our U.S. fulfillment center. The Glow Haven team is small and U.S.-based — every email goes to a real person.
